This has been our go-to neighborhood restaurant all through the pandemic, since they have a nice enclosed seating area reclaimed from the parking lot. That said, if you're driving leave the aircraft carrier-sized ride behind unless you're going to park on the street, since the parking lot is now pretty narrow in a couple of places. But most importantly, the fish tacos. The grilled fish is actually kind of superior to the fried, which is surprising, but the bevy of toppings (lettuce, tomato, salsa verde, pink mayo) means that crunch is only there for a couple of bites, but the succulent texture of the grilled fish lasts all the way through. Maybe the best fish tacos I've ever eaten. It's not on the new menu, but they have kept serving their wonderful molcajetes rojas, which are pretty much my platonic ideal of molcajetes - chips that keep their crunch, and thick, spicy sauce. The servers are always pleasant, but the inside gets pretty busy in the evenings, so you might have to go inside to pay.

I live three hours from my mom, who's cooking I love, so when I feel like having some Mexican food with good flavor there's no where else I'd go. Besides a food truck down the street from where I stay if I don't feel like driving to East Oakland (from West Oakland). But overall, this is theee spot! Even if I just feel like having beans & rice, it hits. HIGHLY Recommend!

Marisco's restaurant is different when it comes to Mexican food because they are specialized in seafood. I ate one of the best ceviche's of my life here. Portions are huge and the selection is great. I had the octopus, fish, shrimp ceviche. My guest and I also ordered garlic sauced steamed clams. Things to know prior to arriving at this location: 1. Menu will be in spanish 2. Your server most likely will only speak spanish but they are super nice and the menu has pictures. Just point. 3. Portions are huge. If you order a large ceviche, it can feed 4 people - comes on a giant square plate. 4. Parking can be tricky - it's a very popular place and the parking lot can get full during dinner and brunch time. 5. Good food doesn't always happen in downtown. This place is worth the trip and I felt 100% safe despite its location. Vibe: casual and chill. Lots of families. You will have fun Mexican music videos playing on giant TV's.

Mariscos Estilo Sinaloa has a dining area that's looks larger than it's parking lot. the reverse is probably true. lot only holds a few cars. diner holds quite a few tables and 2 flatscreens.. offerings-authentic mariscos: tacos, burritos, ceviche, tostadas, fajitas, callo. caldos, molcajete, breakfast, camarones, pescado, eats: fish taco(4.95) -larger than some burritos i've had, couldn't hold it up-too big -many pieces fried fish, lettuce, tomato, red onions, salsa, thousand island like sauce, double tortilla wrapping, lime squeeze, mexican hot sauce..... -really needed a fork to eat this. very fulfilling, 4.5 stars fabulous value for the price. entrees pricey. portions probably large ala taco. leftovers: -only 1 latina on duty in midafternoon -service not a problem. no parking in lot.
